Achieving accuracy is instrumental in getting results as precise as you need for a specific project. Digital surveying supports you in that, as you are in control of the process from start to finish. Peter Burke of Menora Developments Pty Ltd knows all about that, as he achieves accuracy in Australia using our UNI-GR1 GNSS receiver on a regular basis.

Obtaining a fix position
Peter: “We have been using our marXact UNI-GR1 for over a year now on our land development site on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. As we are somewhat remote from marXact’s core market and service area, we have utilised a local NTRIP correction service to enable us to survey points and stakeout under RTK conditions. The UNI has been able to obtain a fix position quite quickly in our location and has connected quite well to our local NTRIP mountpoint to enable the RTK corrections to be easily utilised.”
Requesting and testing
Tommy van der Heijden, co-founder and CEO at marXact: “Having Peter working with our equipment, really means a lot to us. Australia is out of our usual scope of countries, it’s even in a different time zone. It is great to see that our efforts with and for him result in a quick fix, for example. We have a great working relationship. Whenever Peter has a question or request, he reaches out and we can do the same. As marXact, we cater more and more towards international customers and it is great that Peter is willing to test some features and updates first. It allows us to launch something with more security and stability, having him provide us with feedback that is relevant coming from the (international) field. This relationship really goes both ways.”
Service as a stand-out
Burke: “What has stood out for us with the UNI-GR1 is the outstanding customer service and support they have provided us. As non-surveyor users of the GNSS receiver, we have had to learn along the way how GNSS works. The team at marXact have greatly assisted in providing the necessary education as part of their product support to us in such a distant location from their main office without issue.
We highly recommend the use of the UNI-GR1 GNSS receiver, based on the performance of the unit and in particular, the level of support and service they provide.”
