Building information modelling (BIM) remains a hot topic at this year’s Intergeo Expo and Conference. As in previous years, Intergeo is addressing this topic in its role as the world’s leading platform for geodesy, geoinformation and land management. This year is the first time it is doing so in collaboration with the country’s largest hybrid event for digital construction – BIM Days Germany – which will have a dedicated exhibition area integrated into Intergeo.

The Conference, in which the German Cartography Congress is embedded this year, once again takes up current and future-oriented topics and reflects the motto “Inspiration for a smarter World” in all its facets.

Nothing less than the future of geoinformation, geodesy and land management is what we want to present to you at the conference. It is a promising one, because the importance of geoinformation has increased greatly in recent years and will continue to grow in the future. Especially in the fields of earth observation, urban planning, disaster prevention, environmental protection and energy efficiency, geoinformation is of crucial importance.

Global challenges such as the climate crisis, urbanization and securing resources can only be mastered with the help of geospatial data.
