WHAT IT DOES

Everything the kit does, grouped

Survey, set out, import, export and share. What is not there yet is marked as such.

Measure

  • Points, lines and areas, with offsets on all three.
  • Enter a point by hand.
  • Length in 2D and 3D, per segment and the angle to the previous one.
  • Area, and volume over a surface.
  • Averaging over a set recording time.
  • Your own pole height, and tilt compensation up to 45 degrees.

Set out

  • Points, lines and areas.
  • A direction arrow to the target point.
  • Values to the centimetre.
  • A warning when accuracy drops.
  • Save what you set out, or update the existing point.

Import and export

  • Transformation grids on the tablet.

Photos and 3D

  • Photos on a point or a shape, with EXIF, syncing on their own.
  • LiDAR 3D scanning with an iPad Pro, with the UNI-GR2 for accuracy.

Set up layers and attributes once, use them in the field.

Real-time sync

Field data in the office the moment you save.

Share your results

Working with layers in a UNI-Cloud project

Layers and attributes
Set them up once in the office. In the field your crew picks them from a list, so every point lands in the right layer.

Adding a file to a UNI-Cloud project by dragging and dropping it

Drag and drop your files
Drop a drawing or a point file, or full AutoCAD drawing straight into the project. It is on the tablet at the next sync. A drawing arrives as layers with points, lines and areas.

Importing a CSV file with coordinates into UNI-Cloud

Share your results
One click gives your client a link or a QR code to the project. No account needed on their side. Export to DWG, DXF, LandXML, CSV, TXT or GeoJSON, in 2D or 3D, per layer or the whole project.

SUPPORT

Support that keeps you working

Our own support team in Hilversum answers the phone during office hours, on a local number in the Netherlands, Germany and the UK. Those three numbers are an extra, not a limit: we help customers worldwide, by phone, email and chat, in several languages. What customers tell us most is that we keep them moving. Someone picks up a kit from a colleague, has never used it before and calls to ask how to set it up: that is usually sorted on the phone in a few minutes. If talking it through is not enough, we can take over the receiver remotely and look at it with you. For the harder cases we stay on it until you can get on with your work.

  • Email and chat support on every plan.
  • Phone support and remote assistance from Professional.
  • A replacement receiver if yours fails, on Ultimate.

What our customers say

“Measuring tapes are a thing of the past. With the UNI-GR2 we are now able to equip every worker, foreman or technician in the field with an easy to use receiver to survey.”

Heijmans

The Netherlands

“By using the UNI-GR2 and combining it with our GIS tools, we have been able to work more efficient. On fibre optics projects, we are now able to skip about 50 process steps!”

BAM Infra Telecom

The Netherlands

“The stake-out function saves us a lot of time, with quick loading of points and lines. It’s easy to use, which is a big plus. We use the UNI-GR2 for baseline measurements, construction work, and sewer projects, and we’re very satisfied with it.”

T. Van de Haterd

Frequently asked questions

Measure and record anything on site to the centimetre: cables and pipes in the trench, manholes, kerbs and road edges, trees and green. Set out points and lines straight from a drawing, so you know exactly where things go. Check heights, depths and slopes, work out lengths, areas and volumes, and hand the office or your client a finished file the same day. No surveyor needed.

No. It is built for people without a surveying background. If you can use a smartphone you can measure and set out with it, and our support walks you through the first setup on the phone.

In the open field the UNI-GR2 reaches 8 mm + 1 ppm horizontal and 15 mm + 1 ppm vertical with an RTK fix, and 3 mm + 1 ppm in static mode. Close to buildings, trees or other obstructions, where the sky view is limited, expect closer to 2 cm in real conditions.

You choose the coordinate reference system per project, with the transformation grids stored on the tablet. RD and NAP in the Netherlands, OSGB36 in the UK, Lambert in Belgium, the national grid and height system in Germany, and any other system you need.

The platform is set up for the standards clients ask for, including NLCS and NLCS++ for cables and pipes, CROW 500 and the DSP exchange in the Netherlands, and open protocols like NMEA-0183 for other receivers. It supports the way this work is delivered, from trial trenches (proefsleuven) to digital construction supervision (digitale Baubegleitung). And if there is a standard you need that we do not support yet, we are always open to it and think along with you.

One year of UNI-RTK Premium is included, our correction network with more than 2,000 base stations in over 30 countries. You can also use your own NTRIP service such as SAPOS in Germany or FLEPOS in Flanders, which are free. Bring your own network and you save the € 1.000 a year that UNI-RTK Premium costs, and we adjust the package price.

Yes. Your projects and layers sit on the tablet, so you keep measuring offline and everything syncs to UNI-Cloud once you have coverage again. A live RTK fix does need a correction signal over 4G.

Yes. From UNI-Cloud Professional the KLIC cable and pipe map loads as a layer over your project, in the field and in the office. That plan is part of the package.

Import CSV, TXT, DXF, DWG, LandXML, GeoJSON, KML and ESRI Shapefile. Export DWG, DXF, LandXML, CSV, TXT and GeoJSON, and from Q3 2026 also PDF reports. You can also share a project and its map through a view link or QR code, so a client opens the result without any software.

One case with the UNI-GR2 receiver, a Samsung Galaxy Active Tab 5.0 rugged tablet, a 200 cm carbon pole with RAM mount, the UNI-Collect app, one year of UNI-Cloud Professional and one year of UNI-RTK Premium. It is € 5.645 the first year, then € 1.750 a year for the two subscriptions.

The recurring € 1.750 covers UNI-Cloud Professional and UNI-RTK Premium. The corrections are what give you the centimetre fix, so for RTK work you need a correction service. Run your own NTRIP network instead and you save the € 1.000 for UNI-RTK Premium.

Yes. Bring your own tablet and we leave it out of the package and adjust the price. The UNI-Collect app is included either way.

For recurring measuring and setting-out work, yes, from the first year. A surveying service costs around € 500 a day. With the Survey Package you sit at about € 9,92 per working day over five years, or € 0,03 per metre surveyed, and you measure whenever you need to.

Yes. The UNI-GR2 is made for outdoor work in dust, rain and cold, and keeps working through a full day on one charge. It is built to take the knocks of a normal working day on site.

In the Netherlands. We develop the hardware and the software in-house in Hilversum, and the UNI-GR2 is produced in Rotterdam. You get European build quality and one company behind the whole chain.

Our own team in Hilversum answers the phone Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 CET, on local numbers in the Netherlands, Germany and the UK. From the Professional plan up they take over your device remotely and fix most things on the spot.

Yes. We’re happy to show you the system first with a no-obligation demo on location: at your job site, at your company, or at our office. When we deliver, we walk through it together so you can start right away. On-site training is available if you want it, but it’s not a must: if you can use a smartphone, you can work with this. Think of it as extra certainty that you get everything out of it. And you can always call us.
