What’s next after the launch of v5?

This newsletter was sent to our customer contact list on September 9, 2025.
In our previous emails, we announced the arrival of UNI-Cloud v5 and gave you a sneak peek. The wait is now almost over! The new environment is not only more stable and faster but also packed with improvements based on your feedback: from a clearer interface and Dark Mode to smarter file management and more efficient import and export options.
But v5 is just the beginning. The new foundation allows us to push forward. In this email, we look ahead and share the next big steps on our agenda.

From Data to Document: Your Reports
Your work, professionally presented.
One of the most requested features is the ability to directly generate professional PDF reports. We’re starting with a solid foundation: a clear map with data tables, such as the length of surveyed fiber optics or the area of a plot of land. From there, we’ll expand. Soon, you’ll be able to add photos and 3D scans, and we’ll introduce specific templates for cross-sections for drillings, trial pits, and even complete financial statements.
To make this perfectly suit your workflow, we need your help. How do you currently deliver reports to your clients? Send us examples of the reports you create. Our goal is a seamless workflow: survey and immediately generate a ready-to-use document. What do you need to achieve that?

Your Workflow, Your Tools: API Integrations
The doors are now truly open.
From the beginning, our philosophy has been clear: your data is yours, and our doors are open via the API. With UNI-Cloud v5, we are taking it a step further: we will proactively connect with other parties. The entire cloud is now structured to make it easier and more dynamic to add more integrations.
Do you want to sync data with Fonn.io or build a workflow via Zapier? We are open to all suggestions. Which systems do you deliver to? How can we make that easier? Whether it’s a well-known platform or a custom-made system from your client, we are open to everything. The more information we get, the faster we can act.

The Cloud as a Drawing Board
No extra software needed anymore.
We will enable measuring and drawing in the cloud. Think of it as a kind of CAD Lite, right in your browser. You will no longer need extra software for crucial adjustments. Consider drawing a branch connection, checking the distance between two lines, extending or connecting geometry, or adding extra valves to an existing pipe. Simple but essential actions, directly on the map.

Ready for the Standard: NLCS++
This topic is only relevant for the Netherlands.
The civil engineering and infrastructure sector in the Netherlands is rapidly moving towards digital standardization. Initiatives such as ‘registration at the trench’, led by grid operators like Alliander, Enexis, and Stedin, are transforming the way we process as-built data (see Alliander’s video here). The goal is clear: faster, error-free, and automated as-built data processing.
To fully relieve you of any worries, we closely follow these developments, align our solutions with the grid operators’ roadmap, and ensure that at the time of launch and rollout, NLCS++ will be fully supported.

What can be improved?
Help us build what you truly need.
These future plans are not set in stone. We are building this platform for you. Therefore, the question: What needs to be better? What challenges do you face daily? Which feature would significantly make your workday easier? And it does not matter if you already work with our tools or not, we listen to the persons on the job: let us know how we can make your daily work more efficient!
Send an e-mail to sales@marxact.com and let us know. Your input, as always, determines our priorities.
P.S. Although the focus in recent emails has been on the UNI-Cloud, the development of our other products is, of course, not standing still. We are also actively developing new features for UNI-Machine and handy tools like easier volume measurement and managing large drawings in UNI-Collect.
