Get the most out of UNI-Collect
The new year has begun, and at MarXact, we’re moving full speed ahead!
In this edition, we introduce a convenient new feature: the ability to survey multiple layers at once. We also have great news regarding support—our team is growing with the arrival of Sam and Rodrigo, who will introduce themselves later in this newsletter. Additionally, we’re sharing a helpful video to guide you through the transition to UNI-Collect.

Survey multiple layers at once? It’s possible!
With the latest update of UNI-Collect, you can now survey a point, line, or polygon in multiple layers at the same time. This reduces manual steps and speeds up workflows on-site.
Why is this feature important?
In some cases, multiple objects need to be surveyed at the same time. By registering them directly in different layers, you save time and avoid manual work. This is especially relevant for infrastructure and utility projects where multiple layers—such as electricity, sewage, and fiber optics—must be accurately documented.
For example, when installing underground gas and water pipelines, sewer systems, and electrical or fiber-optic cables, multiple layers may need to be surveyed at once. This new feature allows contractors and network operators to record all utilities in a single measurement. Another practical application is sewage projects. A single point within a sewer line may represent both a branch and a manhole. Instead of measuring these objects separately, the point is added to both layers at once, eliminating extra work and reducing the chance of errors.
How does it work?
- You can now select multiple layers at once and measure them together, instead of choosing just one.
- Do you want to stop measuring a specific layer? Simply remove it from the custom options menu; the already measured work will be saved. The other selected layers will stay active, allowing you to continue measuring without interruption.
- Do you want to stop measuring all multiple layers? You can do this the same way as when measuring a single layer.
This new feature is now available in the latest version of our UNI-Collect app and is ready for use. Stay tuned for updates and experience the perfect combination of working both efficiently and accurately!

Meet Our New Colleagues
We are happy to welcome two new colleagues to our support team: Sam and Rodrigo. They are happy to introduce themselves and share their first impressions of marXact. Learn more about their backgrounds, their roles at marXact, and what excites them about this new step:
Sam:
“I look forward to learning and growing in this -for me- entirely new industry. The combination of technical challenges, such as soldering, and directly engaging with customers excites me. The warm welcome I received at marXact confirmed that I am in the right place.”
Rodrigo:
“As a surveying engineer, I am excited to combine my technical skills with customer-oriented work. What I find most inspiring is how I can contribute to efficient solutions for our customers while working in a dynamic and supportive team. My first weeks have been both educational and enjoyable, and I look forward to everything ahead.”
