
We are currently busy improving our UNI-RTK Premium service. This will provide better coverage and stability — in short, an improvement in obtaining a FIX.
In this post you can read what will happen automatically and what you need to do yourself. Therefore, please read it carefully to make sure you can continue working without issues.
We are switching to a brand-new RTK engine with improved backup functionalities. This allows us to automatically switch your UNI to another RTK engine if, due to unforeseen circumstances, there is a disruption in the area where you are working.
There are no additional costs associated with this improvement to the UNI-RTK Premium service.
Not much. You only need to use the UNI twice before March 15. By using the UNI (and therefore restarting it twice), the improvements will be applied automatically through the UNI update.
Do this before March 15 to make sure you won’t be stuck in the field after mid-March.
Not actively using it at the moment? Then simply turn your UNI off and on twice. Just make sure you leave it on for about 5 minutes each time before turning it off again — this gives the UNI time to download and install the update.
If you do not restart your UNI twice to install the latest software, it may happen after March 15 that you cannot get a FIX until the update has been installed. This could cause delays while working in the field.

With the update to UNI-Connect version v3.8.25 (after the first restart), we automatically change the hostname from rtkpremium.com with the current port and mountpoint to:
After the second restart, your UNI will actually apply these new details and you will be switched over. If you’re behind on updates, you may need to restart it one or two extra times.
