Sogelink builds software for the cable and pipeline industry, including the KLIC process, revision and as-built workflows, and excavation damage prevention. The Dutch business behind it was GOconnectIT, which joined the Sogelink group in 2022; both goconnectit.com and goconnectit.nl now redirect to sogelink.com, and the products carry the Sogelink name. The former GOconnectIT field and GIS software is what you will find today as GO InfraMaps and the other GO products.
GO InfraMaps is Sogelink’s GIS viewer for the preparation phase of infra projects. It bundles KLIC notifications on cables and pipes, soil composition, cadastral plots, tree canopies and root protection zones, CROW 400 contaminated soil analysis, ProRail and water board management areas, surface types and utilities into a single map view, and runs calculations such as boring metres and contaminated soil volumes. Sogelink aims it at earthmoving contractors, network operators and municipalities.
The GOconnectIT marXact combination came from a simple place. As our founder Tommy van der Heijden put it at the time: “There was a demand for integration with the GOconnectIT software in the field, and we and they were happy to comply.”
How the GOconnectIT marXact combination works
The field worker connects a marXact GNSS receiver, for example the UNI-GR2, to the Sogelink field software over Bluetooth and selects it as the position source. Cables and pipes are then surveyed to the centimetre, straight into the software where the revision and as-built process already lives. The paper sketch, and the office afternoon spent deciphering it, disappear from the workflow.
For utility work that matters twice. The trench is only open once, so whatever is measured before backfill is the only reliable record there will ever be. And the as-built that reaches the network operator is georeferenced and structured, instead of redrawn from memory.
Who works this way
Infra service provider Baas made exactly this choice; read why Baas chose GOconnectIT and marXact for digital surveying. Their crews survey cables and pipes in the open trench, and the data flows into the systems their clients expect.
Para empezar
You need the Sogelink field software, formerly sold as GOconnectIT, a marXact GNSS receiver and an RTK correction subscription. Receiver, app, cloud environment and corrections come as one package: the UNI-Collect Survey Package.
Digging in Dutch ground also means KLIC obligations; our KLIC viewer for digging locations covers that side. Questions about GOconnectIT and marXact on your projects? Contact us.
