gisib is an integrated management system for public space. Municipalities, provinces, water authorities and contractors use it to register and manage their assets: roads, green space, sewers, civil structures, street lighting, traffic installations, play equipment, traffic signs and street furniture. gisib itself puts the direct link between management data and geo information at the centre, so that the management information is correct in one place.

An asset management system is only as current as the data in it. That is exactly where the gisib integration with marXact sits: field measurements flow into the system in real time through the UNI-Cloud API, centimetre-accurate.

How the gisib integration works

A manager or field worker surveys on site with a marXact GNSS receiver, for example the UNI-GR2 on the pole. Every object goes into a layer of your own choosing as a point, line or polygon, with a centimetre-accurate RTK position. The measurements sync live to UNI-Cloud, and through the realtime API they are immediately available to gisib.

So there is no export file, no email and no retyping between the field and the management system. What was surveyed this morning is in the management environment this afternoon.

A concrete example

A municipality is redesigning a residential street. After the work, its own field service surveys the new situation: lighting columns, trees, benches, gullies and the paving. The changes arrive in gisib through UNI-Cloud, and the manager processes them the same week into the BGT and BOR registers, the Dutch national large-scale topographic map and the public space management records. The backlog in processing changes, the structural sore point at many organisations, simply never builds up.

Because your own people survey during work they are doing anyway, keeping the management data up to date needs no separate survey round and no external party.
