garDsign is online garden design software for landscapers and garden designers. You draw the garden in 2D in the browser, generate a 3D visualisation or virtual walkthrough at the press of a button, and use the same drawing for the quote: areas and quantities come straight out of it. For landscaping firms that makes it drawing board, presentation tool and costing basis in one.
Every garden drawing starts with the existing situation. Measuring that up, certainly on large or irregularly shaped gardens, has always taken the most time. That is where the garDsign integration with marXact sits: you survey the garden digitally and the survey data goes into your drawing as a file.
How the garDsign integration works
You survey the garden with a marXact GNSS receiver, for example the UNI-GR2 on the pole, and the UNI-Collect app: boundaries, façades, existing trees and differences in height, as points, lines and areas, centimetre-accurate. The integration runs through import and export, so the surveyed situation ends up as the base layer in your design.
It works the other way round as well: you import a design into UNI-Collect as a file and stake it out on site. An organically shaped pond or border edge is staked out point by point, without a tape measure or string line.
