Greenpoint is a fully online platform for public space management (BOR in Dutch). Management organisations record the information about their managed objects in it, on current BGT map images, the Dutch national large-scale topographic map: green space and grass, trees, paving, road gullies, sewers and lamp posts, in the green, grey and blue categories, above and below ground. The platform is linked to BAG and BGT, the Dutch registers of addresses and buildings and of large-scale topography, and lets clients, contractors and other parties exchange that information online. Greenpoint states that it is in use at more than 50 organisations.
The Greenpoint integration with marXact brings surveying into that environment: the GNSS receiver sits directly in the Greenpoint app through the UNI-Cloud API.
How the Greenpoint integration works
In the app you add the UNI receiver through the UNI-Cloud API and start surveying. With the UNI-GR2 you record your managed objects centimetre-accurately.
Management data and measurement come about in one action that way, in the system the organisation already works in. No separate survey file still waiting to be processed, no backlog of changes.
A concrete example
A contractor is carrying out the reconstruction of a residential street with new planting for a municipality. After planting, the site manager walks the street with the receiver on the pole and puts every tree, every planting bed and every bin straight into Greenpoint, in the right place on the BGT map. The municipality sees the changes coming in and the asset records are correct on the day of handover, not after the winter.
