MyCumulus is developed and published by MyCumulus B.V. in Mijdrecht, the Netherlands, which presents itself as part of Nexterday Solutions. It was originally built by ADW Software, a Belgian company that was struck off the Belgian register in May 2026 after liquidation. The product is a cloud-based data collection platform: an Android app, a website and a set of utilities that work as one. You create projects and custom forms, collect and update data in the field, and see everything processed directly in the cloud, with an unlimited number of projects, forms and users, an open REST API and import and export to Pythagoras and Excel. It works offline too; data collected without coverage stays on the device until it syncs. The focus shows in who uses it: land surveyors, GIS teams, municipalities and even archaeology.

The MyCumulus marXact combination gives all that form-based collection a professional position source.

How the MyCumulus marXact combination works

MyCumulus documents external GNSS receivers over Bluetooth, and its manual names us directly: “Gnss-source: currently only applicable for users of a Marxact account”. You connect the receiver over Bluetooth and pick it as the GNSS source, and from then on every record captured in a MyCumulus form carries a centimetre-accurate RTK position from the UNI-GR2, instead of the rough position a phone or tablet manages on its own.

The division of labour is clean. MyCumulus brings the forms, the projects and the cloud processing; the marXact receiver brings positions you can stake out against later.

A concrete example

An archaeology team documents finds on an excavation. Each find gets a form entry with type, layer, photo and description, and the receiver pins it to the centimetre. Months later, the site plan is drawn from measured positions rather than sketches, and any find can be traced back to the exact spot it came out of the ground.

The same setup serves a municipal crew inventorying street furniture or a surveyor collecting attribute-rich topo data: forms plus real positions.

Erste Schritte

You need MyCumulus, a UNI-GR2 and an RTK correction subscription. Receiver, app, cloud environment and corrections come as one package: das UNI-Collect-Umfragepaket.
