What is Galileo?

Galileo is a GNSS constellation that is operated by the European Global Navigation Satellite System Agency (GSA). Galileo uses 27 satellites with the first Full Operational Capability (FOC) satellites, being launched in 2014.

Galileo offers dual-frequencies as a standard and will deliver real-time positioning accuracy down to the meter range, without any corrections. That means you would be accurate within the meter, using the ‘Standalone’ positioning mode on the UNI-GR1 within Europe.
