Did you know you can use the UNI-GR1 with any Android app? Now you do!
Many apps dedicated to Mapping & Surveying support an external Bluetooth NMEA stream to get your CM accurate location. However, there might be a moment where you want to use an app that doesn’t support the functionality of an external GNSS device and with the UNI-GR1 you can make it happen!
There are many apps available in the Google Play Store that are able to ”mock” the internal GNSS location of your device of choice by using the Bluetooth NMEA stream of the UNI-GR1.
As you may have heard before, marXact is working hard to make sure you can use the UNI-GR1 with the device of your choice and the software of your choice. Now, by using the feature of mocking your GNSS location, you can use any app that uses your internal Android GNSS location and that opens doors to many apps or even web applications in browsers. So, no matter how you want to work on your Android device, you are covered with the UNI-GR1 and by mocking your location.
The short tutorial video below shows how we’ve used the UNI by mocking the location:
Apart from mocking your GNSS location on your Android device, there are many more options! For example are able to integrate the UNI-GR1 into you own software using the UNI-Cloud controlling the complete workflow and making sure everyone can do the work in the field!
